Wrexham have been linked with another high-profile name this week as they continue to add quality to their ever-changing squad.
As Phil Parkinson prepares his side for the 2025/26 Championship season, the Red Dragons are being linked with plenty of top names.
Ryan Hardie has signed for Wrexham already and brings with him a solid goal return in the second tier of English football.
Meanwhile, Danny Ward is expected to sign for his former club soon after the Welsh international left Leicester City for free this summer.
Ward has spent many years plying his trade in the top two tiers of England, including a spell with Liverpool.
Meanwhile, another former Red could be on his way to the Racecourse Ground this summer.

Wrexham target Bobby Clark criticised by manager
It has been reported this week that Wrexham are interested in Bobby Clark, who left Liverpool last summer in a £10m deal.
Clark opted to move to Austria, signing for one of the country’s top teams, RB Salzburg.
The 20-year-old made 17 league appearances across the 2024/25 campaign, but he fell heavily out of favour at the back end of the season, notching just five minutes of action across 10 outings.
Manager Thomas Letsch explained why the Wrexham target was missing from his squad back in April 2025, as per Salzburg 24.
He stated: “I wasn’t satisfied with Bobby’s training week and therefore told him he wasn’t in the squad.”
Salzburg’s sporting director Rouwen Schroder also commented on the ‘frustrating’ situation, saying: “The situation is unsatisfactory for both sides.
“We need every single player on the [right] path. And then, of course, we’ll put our heads together and look at the direction towards the summer, what makes sense and what doesn’t.
“This [situation] is certainly frustrating for Bobby.”

Bobby Clark may fail Phil Parkinson test
It is well documented at this point that Parkinson is primarily in charge of Wrexham transfers, with Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds not really involved until a deal is close.
All signings made under the veteran manager must first pass the ‘plonker test’ (it has other less PG names as well), as per Wales Online.
But if Clark is already losing his place for Salzburg due to how he’s been training, the former Liverpool man may not be a great fit for Wrexham or Parkinson.
Obviously, we don’t know what has gone on behind the scenes in Austria, but it’s certainly something worth noting given Parkinson’s desire to bring in consummate professionals with no problems.
