George Dobson was a ‘mainstay’ at Charlton Athletic
George Dobson has been a figure for Parkinson this season at the heart of Wrexham’s midfield but he was once a permanent fixture for their upcoming oppenents.
As per London News Online, ex-Charlton boss Johnnie Jackson heaped praise on Dobson in 2022 for his performances across that season.
Jackson stated: “He’s [Dobson] been outstanding for me. He’s been magnificent. He’s deserved that. It’s been a while coming, a goal for him, but he deserved that today. His overall performance in the game was brilliant. Since I took over, he’s been a mainstay in the team. I’m really pleased for him.
“He’s been the most consistent. He’s played every game and kept his shirt. I said when I took over, if you’re performing on the pitch then you keep your place. He’s probably the only one that’s managed to keep his place every single one. Brilliant. Delighted for him.”
George Dobson’s consistent Wrexham season
Dobson was outstanding against Blackpool in the 2-1 victory at Bloomfield Road during the last outing and has been a reliable figure for the Red Dragons all season.
The 27-year-old midfielder has shone with energetic nature in recent months and Dobson has even played through injury for the Wrexham promotion cause.

His longevity across the season has shown the trust placed in him by his manager and should Wrexham achieve promotion to the Championship, he will continue to be a key figure in midfield.
Both Dobson and James have been exceptional in recent weeks and alongside Ollie Rathbone, the Red Dragons have a midfield three that will swarm all over Charlton in the upcoming clash.
