James McClean has reacted to one Wrexham player’s impressive display this week.
Wrexham were back in Carabao Cup action on Tuesday evening and secured a huge win.
The Red Dragons beat Reading 2-0 and Phil Parkinson wants a big team in the next round of the competition, which his side are competing in for the first time this century.
Wrexham can qualify for Europe if they win the competition, and while that’s obviously unlikely, anything can happen in North Wales.
Tuesday’s victory saw a number of players stand out, and James McClean has now reacted to one star’s display.

James McClean reacts to Nathan Broadhead’s display vs Reading
Lewis Brunt shone versus Reading, coming back into the team as a right-sided centre-back after losing his Championship place to Callum Doyle.
However, it was new record signing Nathan Broadhead who ended up stealing the show on the night.
Wrexham fans praised Broadhead after he scored twice in the second half to hand the Dragons the win and open his account for them.
The former Ipswich Town man had a quiet first half, but after getting off the mark, he looked much improved.
McClean has now taken to Instagram to react to the Reading win, and singled out Broadhead’s efforts when doing so.
He wrote: “Job done into the next round.. @nathanbroady off the mark in style,” followed by clapping, red circle and dragon emojis.
What Phil Parkinson said about Nathan Broadhead
Parkinson was full of praise for Broadhead after he scored twice to help the Dragons progress.
The Wrexham boss admitted the £7.5m addition has been unlucky with injuries so far, but was quick to stress what a ‘dangerous player’ he can be.
Parkinson stated: “I think, with Nath, that he’s been a bit unlucky because he got that whack on his calf against Sheffield Wednesday and he had that great chance against West Brom.
“But I think he showed everybody, second half, what he’s all about, but we’ve got to give him the ball, we’ve got to trust him, he’s got to keep moving for it, and we’ve got to find him in those pockets.
“When he gets the ball in those situations, he’s a very dangerous player, as he’s shown in his career, and I was so pleased for him tonight.
“I don’t think we should underestimate the quality of those finishes. The first one was great, but the second one, that header, was terrific.”
