Wrexham continued their winning streak on Saturday afternoon, seeing off Burton Albion.
The Red Dragons have been fighting to regain top spot in League One for some time now after a patchy run of form earlier in the season saw them knocked off first place.
Wycombe Wanderers were held to a 1-1 draw on Saturday, while Wrexham beat Burton Albion 1-0.
That now means the Red Dragons are only behind Matt Bloomfield’s side by goal difference going into the next round of games.
It was by no means a great showing from the away outfit at the Pirelli Stadium, with weather conditions playing a key role during Burton vs Wrexham.
But when all was said and done, Elliot Lee’s goal from a corner midway through the second half was enough to secure the three points.

James McClean message to Wrexham teammates after Burton
As well as trying to play in such poor conditions, two more factors saw the Welsh side very much up against it on Saturday.
Firstly, Wrexham have been pretty bad on the road this season, dropping points in six games.
Meanwhile, Phil Parkinson was without a number of his best players for the clash. Callum Burton is out injured while James McClean and George Dobson were both serving one-match bans.
While McClean was not in attendance at Burton, though, he did watch the game from home and has since taken to Instagram to send a message to his teammates.
The Irishman reacted to an official post from Wrexham via his story, writing: “Go on the boys,” followed by three emojis.

How did Sebastian Revan play vs Burton after replacing James McClean
McClean has been a key figure for Wrexham this season and has donned the captain’s armband in the majority of their matches this term.
However, with the left-back out, summer signing Sebastian Revan was handed a rare start by Phil Parkinson.
Revan has ‘really let himself down’ at times for Wrexham since moving from Aston Villa, with some fans likely surprised Jacob Mendy did not get the nod ahead of him on Saturday.
And while his display against Burton was not exactly magical, the 21-year-old played ok and has now finally started a league game and won for his new club.
| Sebastian Revan | Stats vs Burton |
| Touches | 53 |
| Accurate passes | 17/27 (63%) |
| Aerial duels (won) | 3 (1) |
