Ollie Palmer and Paul Mullin enjoyed much success together at Wrexham, but another striker made it into the former’s five-a-side team instead.
Paul Mullin joined Wrexham on a free transfer from Cambridge United in the summer of 2021.
In January of 2022, Ollie Palmer signed from AFC Wimbledon, and the pair formed an instant connection.
Palmer and Mullin scored well in excess of 100 goals as Wrexham escaped the National League and rose to the Championship.
However, Ollie has now picked another former Red Dragons centre-forward ahead of his long-time partner when naming his five-a-side team.

Ollie Palmer leaves Paul Mullin out of five-a-side team
Palmer appeared on the Life of a Kitman podcast this week and was asked to select the best five-a-side team he has played with.
As expected, several Wrexham players made the cut, including goalkeeper Ben Foster.
Up front, there was no room for Mullin, with Palmer instead opting to select Steven Fletcher.
He said: “I think I’m going to have to go with Steven Fletcher. He taught me so much and he was unbelievable in the dressing room and his touch was incredible, and obviously had a great career mainly in the Premier League and he can also play in the 10.
“So I’ve got a versatile team. Can drop in score goals. He’s aggressive. He’s good in the air.”

How Ollie Palmer responded to Steven Fletcher’s retirement
Both strikers departed the Racecourse Ground during the summer of 2025.
Palmer has moved to Swindon Town on a free transfer, while Fletcher has officially retired from playing after spending several months without a club.
The former Scotland international had a key role in the Dragons’ promotion from League One, scoring eight goals.
As expected, he left a lasting impression on many in North Wales and received a lot of kind messages when he confirmed he was hanging up his boots.
Palmer reacted to Fletcher’s retirement on social media by writing: “Happy retirement bab,” followed by a love-heart emoji.
