Wrexham are riding high in League One, the victory against Burton Albion now puts them joint top of the league with Wycombe Wanderers.

An Elliot Lee corner goal was the difference on the day against The Brewers. and Phil Parkinson thought Lee deserved the plaudits.

Wrexham vs Burton was threatened to be called off by Storm Darragh, but they’ll be glad it wasn’t. A great gust of wind actually helped Lee’s corner nestle into the net.

Another win for Wrexham, and the travelling fans, despite being absolutely freezing, can go home happy – as noted by veteran striker Paul Mullin.

Paul Mullin sends message to Wrexham fans following Burton win

Mullin, who came on for the last 11 minutes in the League One fixture, took to Instagram on Sunday night to thank the Wrexham faithful for their support on the day.

He wrote: ‘Big win! Fair play to everyone who made the trip yesterday, that was cold!’

Mullin doesn’t play as much for Wrexham anymore, but he sure does still love the club he’s been so prolific for – and that feeling is mutual from Red Dragons fans.

Lewis Brunt also writes post after League One victory

Lewis Brunt, who signed in the summer from Leicester City, also featured against Burton and was absolutely class.

Brunt was the man of the match and was calm and assured throughout – which ultimately helped Mark Howard keep a clean sheet between the sticks.

He took to Instagram as well, writing ‘+3 on the road’, accompanied by a smiling face emoji.

So who’s up next for Wrexham? They face Crewe in the EFL Trophy on the 10th of December at the Racecourse. They’ll be hoping for a similar result in that one.
