Wrexham came away with another three points against Burton Albion, in no small part due to Elliot Lee.
Wrexham beat Barnsley 1-0 in their last league tie and were aiming to secure 12 points from their last four matches when they travelled to the Pirelli Stadium on Saturday.
It was expected to be a real test for Phil Parkinson and his players, with the absences of Callum Burton, James McClean and George Dobson weakening the Red Dragons.
The poor weather did not help the clash either, with the first 45 minutes of action especially drab from both teams.
However, the away outfit grew into the match and finally began to test the Burton keeper in the second half.
They eventually got their breakthrough when Elliot Lee scored in the 65th minute, handing Wrexham a 1-0 win over Burton.

How Phil Parkinson played role in Elliot Lee goal vs Burton
The weather hampered play for much of the 90 minutes but actually really helped the midfielder score his goal.
Wrexham fans were left stunned by Lee after he bent in a strike directly from a corner.
It was a superb goal and the midfielder, who started up front again over the weekend, has now revealed how Parkinson played a role in his effort.
Speaking to Wrexham’s media straight after the match, Lee explained the Wrexham manager told his players to ‘just shoot’ due to the high winds – advice that proved crucial to his team picking up three points.
He said: “We do a lot on set pieces and with Parky, he gives us license to shoot and that’s basically what the plan was today with the wind, just shoot for goal and see what happens.
“The keeper will be under pressure, and luckily for me ones gone in the back stick.”

Elliot Lee on Wrexham fans and Burton clash
In the same interview, the 29-year-old gave his verdict on the Burton game and was quick to praise his teammates for their togetherness.
He added: “Brilliant win for the boys, hard-fought, conditions, as we all know terrible. But we knew what it was going to be today, it was going to be a scrap like that and yeah the conditions didn’t make it any easier but that’s what we do.
“I think our biggest strength in there’s our togetherness and we always talk about that and that’s how we win games like today.”
Lee was also asked if he had a message for the Wrexham fans who made the trip to Burton in such bad conditions, adding: “Yes, incredible can’t imagine what they’ve been through to get from Wrexham to here but coming and showing the support for the lads on a day like today, and still all there with a packed away end clapping at the end, it is unbelievable.
“The boys are delighted to be able to send all the travelling fans home with the three points.”
