Paul Mullin has seen his future at Wrexham cast into doubt over the last few months.
Paul Mullin arrived at the Racecourse Ground in the summer of 2021 and has gone on to cement himself as a club legend.
He’s scored over 100 goals for Wrexham, all of which have been key to them gaining promotion out of the National League and up to League One.
However, the striker has fallen heavily out of favour since Jay Rodriguez and Sam Smith were signed.
Mullin had a minor injury that kept him out of a couple of games recently, perhaps explaining his absence.
However, he was once again omitted from Wrexham’s matchday squad against Northampton Town over the weekend despite Parkinson confirming Mullin was back fit.

Wrexham could tell Paul Mullin to leave
Mullin was linked with a transfer in the final few days of the winter window but ended up staying put.
He also remains under contract at the Racecourse until 2027, but despite this, he could now be told to leave Wrexham in the summer.
This is the view of former player turned EFL pundit, Carlton Palmer, who has been discussing the striker with Football League World.
He said: “I think it’s probably likely they will have a conversation with Mullin in the summer, and say to him that it’s better that he moves on. If they get promotion, that would be a step too far for him, so that conversation would have to be had.”

What Phil Parkinson said about Paul Mullin
After leaving the 30-year-old out against Northampton even though he was available for selection, Parkinson explained his decision over the weekend.
He said: “Mulls is fine, he’s fit.
“He trained well last week, he looked really sharp the back end of the week. But I wanted to go with Fletch and Jack on the bench.
“I wanted to get the balance of the bench right and I felt we did that.”
Marriott is now seemingly the back-up option on one side of Wrexham’s two-man strike force and as he’s just been given a new contract, will likely remain ahead of Mullin for at least another year.
In turn, it does seem best for all parties, though perhaps not fans, if the club icon is moved on later in 2025.
