Wrexham have big plans to attack the transfer market in preparation for their Championship campaign.
Wrexham’s owners want to be ‘aggressive’ in the window in order to give Phil Parkinson’s side the best possible chance in the second tier.
A host of players have already been linked with the Red Dragons, Wrexham are interested in Myles Peart-Harris as well as monitoring Premier League stars such as Tom Cairney and Aaron Cresswell.
Wrexham have a reported £25m budget for their plans this summer and Parkinson has now given a further insight into the finances available.

Phil Parkinson reveals insight into Wrexham transfer budget
Speaking to the Leader, the Wrexham manager has given an insight into the resources at his disposal this summer but hints that another transfer strategy may be utilised.
Parkinson stated: “Every team which goes up, the budget increases because players’ wages are higher and transfer fees are higher at this level,
“That is just normal. Obviously there’s an increase in TV revenue so that enables clubs to spend more but we are in the market place competing for players with a lot of other teams. It is never straight forward but we want to try and work hard to get the best players we can.”
Paul Mullin and Matty James were then given as examples of successful free agents the club have signed in the past and Parkinson will look at this route once again.
Parkinson explained: “We have brought some great players in for free in the past. Players like George Dobson, James McClean, Matty James, Paul Mullin, Arthur Okonkwo and Mark Howard.
“There’s some interesting free transfers as well.”
Phil Parkinson defends Wrexham’s previous spending
The Red Dragons boss has also been quick to play down any talk of Wrexham spending their way to success in recent years.
Parkinson reiterated: “People speculate about what we have paid for players and a lot of it is so overinflated that it is almost laughable at times,
“Going back a couple of years when people used to quote what we were paying people, quite often it was way off the mark.
“We’ve operated in a structured way and we think carefully about the players we bring in, in terms of the value for the season coming up and value going forward as assets in the squad.”
It is set to be a busy summer at the Racecourse Ground in terms of incomings and departures but what can be assured is that Parkinson and the club will consider every single deal down to the last detail.
