Wrexham are preparing to spend big this summer ahead of their first Championship campaign since 1982.
Wrexham’s owners are ready to be ‘aggressive’ in the summer transfer window as they look to give Phil Parkinson the resources required to be competitive in the Championship.
Parkinson has admitted departures will occur at the club as he looks to free up wages and room in his 25-man Wrexham squad for quality additions.
Wrexham have been linked with Aaron Cresswell as well as the likes of Tom Cairney and Harry Darling, it has now been revealed exactly how much money the Red Dragons have to spend.

Wrexham’s transfer budget revealed
As per GiveMeSport, owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have now revealed the budget that Parkinson can work with this summer for the club’s ‘assault’ on the second tier.
Wrexham’s transfer budget has been set at ‘around 25m’ in order to give the club the chance to compete at the ‘right end’ of the table.
Parkinson hinted at Premier League talks as he explained the lack of transfer activity so far this summer was down to the season not being finished yet for all clubs.
Now the Red Dragons boss will be licking his lips at the prospect of such a healthy budget but past experiences have shown that he will use the money wisely and recruit players that can fit in with the current crop.
Player sales can boost Wrexham budget
On top of the reported £25m transfer budget, there are several players that Wrexham will be looking to sell this summer in order to boost that figure.
Ollie Palmer will have plenty of options this summer should he depart the Racecourse Ground following his exile from the squad in the final months of the season.
Paul Mullin has been linked with Wigan, whilst the likes of George Evans and Will Boyle are also expected to leave the club to seek first-team opportunities.
However, Wrexham could struggle to sell a number of players given the wages and bonuses currently earned from members of the squad.
