Phil Parkinson has been discussing the huge change at Wrexham in the last few years when they travel away from home.
Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have been owners of Wrexham for over four years now, and their impact has been massive.
On the pitch, the Red Dragons are now looking to secure a third straight promotion and earn a place in the Championship for the first time since it was rebranded in 2004.
Away from the field, meanwhile, thanks to their owner’s profile, the huge success of new sponsorship deals, and the ‘Welcome to Wrexham‘ documentary series, Wrexham have posted a record turnover after their accounts leading up to June 2024 were released this week.
However, while it’s clear that Rob and Ryan are amazing owners and have done wonders for the Welsh side, their presence does bring some unwanted attention.

Wrexham face huge away crowds after Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney arrival
Max Cleworth discussed the pressure Wrexham face after Reynolds and McElhenney’s takeover of the club in an interview last week.
Now, manager Phil Parkinson has been speaking about how the away fixtures have been impacted in recent years.
Wrexham face Exeter City away from home on Saturday and will be lining out in front of a sell-out crowd.
But Parkinson, as per Leader Live, says they have become used to dealing with these big crowds in the last few years.
He said: “We have spoken about going away from home for these games over the years.
“Exeter’s another sell-out, Wycombe had one of their highest crowds for years and that is what we have become used to.
“We have just got to deal with the extra kind of atmosphere at these grounds but the great thing from our point of view is we are used to playing in front of sell-out crowds at home and away over the last few years, and we’ve dealt with it really well over the last few weeks.
“I am looking forward to the game and we will get the lads ready to have a real go at continuing our run.”

Phil Parkinson offers Exeter City verdict
Wrexham are playing Exeter at a bad time in their hunt for League One promotion.
The mid-table side are unbeaten in their last six and one of the most in-form teams in the third tier over the last five games.
On Exeter, Parkinson added: “Exeter have done well, they have picked up recently and had some good results.
“They are still in that bottom half of the table and it is just exactly the same for us going there.
“It is getting the performance level right and getting everybody in the best shape possible going into what is it another important game for us.”
