Wrexham are back in League One action on Saturday afternoon, facing off with Exeter City at 3pm.

Wrexham are aiming to win promotion this season and become the first side in history to secure three in a row from the fifth tier or higher.

Wycombe Wanderers are hot on their heels in the battle for second, however, currently boasting a game in hand and superior goal difference going into Saturday’s fixtures.

Wrexham are playing Exeter City at a bad time, given they are one of the most in-form sides in League One right now despite sitting in mid-table.

But the Red Dragons should still be fairly confident going into the meeting as their away form has improved a great deal in recent weeks.

Here’s everything you need to know about Wrexham ahead of their meeting with Exeter.

Wrexham team and injury news vs Exeter City

For the most part, Wrexham have a largely fit squad going into their fixtures against Exeter.

George Dobson played with an injury versus Stockport County last weekend and is once again likely to be involved this weekend after a full week of rest.

After a brief spell on the sidelines, wing-backs Ryan Barnett and Sebastian Revan returned to the matchday squad last time out as well, with the former coming off the bench late on.

In more good news, Callum Burton is back playing for Wrexham, lining out in their recent Central League win over Mansfield Town.

So, unless there are any fresh injury concerns yet to be reported, Andy Cannon should be the only player missing when Wrexham take to the field on March 29th.

Paul Mullin earns place on bench and Ryan Barnett starts for Wrexham vs Exeter

With a largely fit squad to pick from, Phil Parkinson has some big decisions to make for what is another huge game.

Paul Mullin scored his first goal in months for Wrexham on Tuesday and may have shown enough to earn himself a place on the bench.

Fans want Mullin back but a starting berth seems very unlikely given Parkinson is continuing to persit with Jay Rodriguez, who scored his first goal in 11 games last time out.

Further back, the midfield could be slightly different with Elliot Lee returning to the eleven to add some more attacking threat against a ‘weaker’ team.

In defence, meanwhile, it’s likely Barnett will return to the eleven after recovering from his issue and appearing as a substitute against Stockport.

The rest of the eleven is expected to look very similar to the one that beat Stockport.
