Wrexham target Christian Eriksen has been heaped with praise by footballing royalty, including Champions League winner Jose Mourinho.
Wrexham have been linked with a shock move for Christian Eriksen this summer.
Whilst such a move appears unlikely due to Eriksen’s desire to play top-flight football, Wrexham are the only team so far to make a move for the Danish legend.
The Red Dragons are keen to further bolster their options ahead of the 2025/26 Championship season, and it is clear that Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac are keen to back Phil Parkinson with the star-studded Eriksen.
Whilst Parkinson did earlier admit that he did not want to sign ‘superstars’, there is no disputing that the former Tottenham Hotspur and Man United star would transform the Red Dragons. On top of the world class ability that he possesses, he has a brilliant mindset that Parkinson would absolutely love.

What Jose Mourinho said about Wrexham target Christian Eriksen
Wrexham are keen to add Christian Eriksen to the ranks this summer, and based on the terrific career that he has endured, no one can blame them.
Such a pursuit reflects on how massively ambitious and optimistic Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac are by targeting a player, who on paper, has shone consistently in the Champions League and Premier League.
He has his plaudits to back up his talents and mindset as well, with Jose Mourinho once praising the Danish midfielder.
“Christian would always give us some of his talent until the end of the season,” said Mourinho, via Sky Sports, when he was manager of Tottenham Hotspur. “He is a good professional, respect to the club, respect to the dressing room, if he stayed here I think he would always give us something.
“Christian was a good guy in the dressing room, always a good professional, always a positive guy, with the limitations of somebody that wants to leave.
“But he would always be a positive guy and a respectful guy.”

Where Christian Eriksen would fit into Phil Parkinson’s Wrexham plans
There is no doubt that Phil Parkinson would be keen to build his Wrexham team around Christian Eriksen, if he was to join up at the Racecourse Ground.
Eriksen would be situated in the centre of the park for Wrexham, and he would have Josh Windass, Ryan Hardie and potentially one new arrival to supply.
Considering the Dane is in the swansong of his career, it could be the case that he is able to manage 60 minutes of action, but his devastatingly immense passing will make up for any shortcomings. It is an audacious approach for Wrexham to make, and even if they can’t get a deal for Eriksen over the line, it shows the calibre of players that Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac are willing to bring in.
