Wrexham fans waved goodbye to a number of heroes during the summer transfer window.
It began with an emotional farewell to Paul Mullin as he joined Wigan Athletic before Ryan Reynolds sent an emotional message to Ollie Palmer upon his move to Swindon Town.
Deadline Day saw three Wrexham favourites depart the club, Thomas O’Connor and Jacob Mendy joined Peterborough on loan, whilst George Evans sealed a transfer to Burton Albion.
Modou Faal was another Wrexham player that secured a loan move away from the Red Dragons this summer and has been a hot topic of conversation amongst his new Port Vale fans.

Port Vale fans unhappy after ‘poor’ performance from Modou Faal in EFL Trophy victory
Faal continued his love affair with cup competitions after coming off the bench to score Port Vale’s fourth goal in a 4-1 win over Leeds United’s U21 side in the EFL Trophy.
The latest goal follows the young striker scoring the winner in a 1-0 victory over Blackpool during the Carabao Cup first round clash and Vale now have a home tie against Arsenal to look forward to.
However, Faal has struggled to make an impact in the league and some Port Vale fans are unhappy with his contribution to the side.
One Port Vale fan gave him a 5/10 rating during the victory over Leeds despite his late goal and another fan has made it clear he should be a ‘squad’ player and nothing more.
Another Port Vale supporter has claimed the striker has looked ‘poor’ in open play, they wrote: “Faal poor in open play but a threat from set pieces.”
It is still early days for Faal in his season-long loan move, however, it appears as though there are certain facets of his game that he needs to tighten up quickly.
Former Wrexham stars impressed in the EFL Trophy
It was an excellent night to be a former Wrexham player in the latest round of EFL Trophy matches. Ian Holloway praised Palmer after the striker scored his first goal for Swindon in a 3-2 win over Reading.
Jordan Davies was on target for Fleetwood as they beat Accrington Stanley on penalties, whilst Jack Marriott was subject to praise from Reading fans.
There was also a clean sheet for former goalkeeper Mark Howard as he helped to mastermind a 2-0 victory for Salford at Mullin’s Wigan Athletic.
Mullin was not part of the Wigan squad for the game, however, it was wonderful to see so many Wrexham favourites showing what they can do.
