Wrexham decided to part ways with Ollie Palmer in August after three and a half successful years.
Signed during Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac’s first full season as owners, Ollie Palmer had a crucial role in firing Wrexham out of the National League for the first time in 15 years.
The Red Dragons won promotion in 2022/23 before clinching second place in League Two during the following campaign.
His League One season was less fruitful, and despite signing a new contract in October 2024, he was axed from the matchday squad by Phil Parkinson after January 28.
Palmer has now left Wrexham for Swindon Town and recently scored his first goal for Ian Holloway’s side.

Ollie Palmer first goal since leaving Wrexham
Palmer made his Swindon debut against Crewe Alexandra in a League Two match over the weekend.
He was once again in action this week, lining up in the EFL Trophy against Reading.
Jack Marriott left Wrexham for the Royals this summer and lined up against his former teammate in the clash.
Reading fans praised Marriott, who also scored, while Palmer got off the mark after being handed his first start by Holloway.
In the end, Swindon secured a 3-2 victory, with the 33-year-old former Wrexham man scoring their second.
Manager Holloway has now given a brief verdict on Palmer after the Reading victory, as per the Swindon Advertiser.
He said: “We were a little bit off it for the first five or six minutes, and then we scored probably against the run of play, as they were getting out too easily and causing us problems.
“I am delighted with the performance. Ollie is getting used to us and scored a goal, Princewill scored again; he already had one, but he scored at home, which is really good.

Did Wrexham terminate Ollie Palmer’s contract
As mentioned, the striker was still under contract at the Racecourse Ground until June 2026.
However, Wrexham terminated Palmer’s contract by mutual consent so he could leave the club.
Reynolds sent a message to the striker following his transfer exit, who was given a pay-off when leaving.
Transfer expert Graeme Bailey told The Wrexham Insider: “Ian Holloway played huge part in persuading him and Swindon put some good money into it. Also, Wrexham gave him a good pay-off.”
