Wrexham are set to play out a huge League One meeting with Wycombe Wanderers on March 15th.
It could be a season-defining match for both sides, who are aiming to secure promotion to the Championship.
When 2024/25 began, it seemed unlikely that Wrexham or Wycombe Wanderers would be competing for automatic promotion.
However, when the pair meet at 3pm, the Red Dragons know a victory, or even a point, would temporarily see them climb into the top two.
Even if Wrexham do not go on to win the game and secure a second-place finish behind Wycombe , it seems very, very likely that come May, they will be competing in the League One play-offs.
A finish in the top-six would be very impressive for a side who were still stuck in the National League just two years ago, and will completely blow away all expectations from the start of the season.

Humphrey Ker’s Wrexham prediciton already smashed
When 2024/25 got underway, Wrexham were predicted to finish 19th in League One by Opta.
That obviously won’t happen now, but the stat-based site are not the only ones that doubted the Welsh club could achieve much this season.
Luke Young suggested mid-table would be a good place for the North American-owned club to end up this term.
Meanwhile, during their first game of the Legaue One campaign, which came against Saturday’s opponents Wycombe, Humphrey Ker revealed what he told Wrexham fans about the season ahead in a recent interview.
He said: “Back in August at the Wycombe game, I was telling everyone, ‘Anything above 12th, we should build a statue of Phil’.
“Fans were saying the same to me. But we’ve gone from that to now, where we’ve been right up at the top of the table all season and massively outperformed all expectations”.
Now, with nine games left to play, Wrexham are already 20 points above 12th, so it looks like Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds need to start making plans for that Parkinson statute.

Wrexham record in play-offs
While finishing inside the top six will be a great achievement for Wrexham, given where they were just a couple of years ago, fans may be neverous about a potential play-off run.
The Red Dragons lost in the 2021/22 National League play-off semi-finals versus Grimbsy Town.
It’s not just in recent times when Wrexham have struggled, though, failing to gain promotion in their previous five attempts before that.
Their unwanted record in the play-offs started all the way back in 1989 when they were bested by Leyton Orient in the Fourth Division.
