Wrexham co-owner, Rob McElhenney has spoken out on social media in praise of star man Paul Mullin, after his hattrick against Morecambe.
After their defeat to Accrington Stanley, Wrexham clearly had the bit between their teeth as they welcomed Morecambe to The Racecourse.
It was clear after the away loss that Phil Parkinson was unhappy and his players understood his annoyance coming into this one.
The Reds made a quick start as Andy Cannon helped to force an own goal. Two minutes later the midfielder was involved again as Paul Mullin got his first of the day.

It was three through Jacob Mendy before the Welshman volleyed home his second of the day later on. He had his hattrick as he ghosted past two men before finding the bottom corner.
On the day he might have had five or six but had to settle for just the three in a superb performance.
What has Rob McElhenney said about Paul Mullin?
It is safe to say that Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds love Mullin and have done ever since he signed for the club. It was shown in ‘Welcome to Wrexham‘ just how desperate the pair were to sign him and how fond they have grown of him.
This has seen the pair reach out to him on many occasions from McElhenney offering the Welshman to stay in his home, to supporting him with the launch of his new book.
What makes him so loveable to Wrexham fans is his outstanding goalscoring exploits. In his Reds career, so far, he has 88 goals in 111 games. In League Two this season he now has seven goals and an assist in 12 matches. Given his injury issues during pre-season, it is great to see him doing so well.
Posting about the striker’s performance to Twitter, McElhenney said: And another hattrick for Paul Mullin. Just incredible.”
His performance was nothing short of incredible. With five shots on target, plus one hitting the bar, he caused Adam Smith all sorts of problems. Even on the defensive front, he was great, three duels won and two recoveries summing him up.
A great performance yet again from Super Paul Mullin who looks to be back to his best once again in red.
