Wrexham players will head off to Las Vegas for yet another promotion party after beating Lincoln City on Saturday.

Phil Parkinson clinched a third straight promotion in April as Wrexham beat Charlton Athletic 3-0 and booked a place in the Championship.

Wrexham then defeated Lincoln City on Saturday afternoon, ending the League One season with another victory.

The preparations for next season can begin, with Wrexham allegedly ready to splash the cash on new signings.

A gruelling pre-season awaits for Parkinson’s squad, and Wrexham will head to Australia and New Zealand for friendlies.

Before all of that, Wrexham players will jet out to Las Vegas for a third promotion party in a row.

Ryan Longman on Wrexham’s Las Vegas party

This has been a running theme throughout the Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds era.

If Wrexham win promotion, McElhenney and Reynolds pay up and send the squad off to Las Vegas to celebrate.

Ben Foster praised Wrexham’s Vegas trips having been involved in the very first, back in 2023.

Parkinson just wants his players to come back in one piece, vowing to turn his phone off and just wait for his players to return.

Wrexham’s January signing Ryan Longman will head on his first Vegas trip and signed off the season with a goal against Lincoln.

Speaking to BBC Sport, Longman has admitted that Wrexham players have been telling him all about these promotion parties.

Longman has been told to expect ’10 times more’ than whatever he has in mind, leaving the wing-back confident that he will enjoy his time there.

“I’ve had all of the lads telling me about it,” said Longman.

“They’ve said ‘whatever you expect, expect 10 times more’, so I’ll enjoy it,” he added.

Why Phil Parkinson won’t be in Las Vegas

As mentioned earlier, Parkinson will not be on the trip to Las Vegas and will instead just hope to see his players return home unscathed.

Fans may wonder just why Parkinson isn’t making the trip over, but he has explained this in years gone by.

Speaking to TalkSPORT in October 2023, Parkinson admitted that he chose to stay away from Las Vegas and leave it to the players to unwind.

McElhenney and Reynolds paid for Parkinson and his staff to head to Portugal in 2023 instead, allowing them to make a separate trip.

“I didn’t make the Vegas trip. It was by choice,” said Parkinson.

“It was by choice only. I thought just let the players go and enjoy it, and all the staff. The owners very kindly paid for the staff to go to Portugal, so we left the players to it,” he added.

Parkinson, assistant manager Steve Parkin and goalkeeping coach Aidan Davison may well head away once again, but we can imagine their trip would be a somewhat quieter affair.
