Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac have earned praise from Wrexham’s former owners following an update this week.

Rob McElhenney, who has now changed his name to Rob Mac, was inspired to buy a football club after watching the Sunderland Till I Die documentary.

The Wrexham owners looked at Hartlepool United and several other teams before eventually purchasing the Red Dragons in 2021.

Ryan Reynolds and Mac paid £2m for the club back in 2021, taking over from the Wrexham Supporters Trust.

Now, the Trust have praised the North American duo for a change made this week.

Wrexham’s 2025/26 home kit has been released this week and is available to buy from the evening of July 10.

Fans have reacted positively to the home kit, which features some subtle nods to the history of the club and town.

Given that Wrexham, thanks to their current owners and the Welcome to Wrexham documentary, have a worldwide fanbase, international fans trying to purchase kits in the past have struggled.

But changes made to help international fans buy the 2025/26 jersey have now been praised by the Wrexham Supporters Trust.

They sent out a message on social media saying: “We raised international kit availability & shipping challenges on behalf of members at the CAB in December & the club presented their proposed solution in March.

“Delighted that this improvement is now being delivered & very excited for the new kits.”
