It has been an interesting start to the 2025/26 Championship season, not just for Wrexham.
In recent years, we have largely seen the parachute payment teams dominate the top-end of the division.
Leeds United and Burnley secured Championship promotion in 2024/25, with both cracking the 100-point barrier.
Sheffield United also made it into the play-off final before losing out to Sunderland.
But while it has only been four games, this season has started slightly differently.
Middlesbrough, who haven’t been in the Premier League since 2017, are top of the division and unbeaten in four, while West Brom and Stoke City are not far behind.

Now, Benjamin Bloom has been discussing which surprise names we could see in the Championship top two this season.
When doing so, he commented on Wrexham and the Blues, suggesting the Midlands outfit are more likely to go up.
He said: “Who’s most likely? Well, if you’re following the money, it’s Birmingham and Wrexham.
“Who could get in there? I would say Birmingham are the more likely of the two. Wrexham have started a little bit slower. And I don’t know, I just see Birmingham in terms of the pattern of play as well being a little step ahead of Wrexham so far. But I like Wrexham’s transfer window.”
