Ryan Reynolds has spoken out after watching Wrexham beat Charlton Athletic to clinch League One promotion.
Wrexham have gone from the National League to playing Championship football in the space of just two years.
The Red Dragons escaped the fifth tier of English football in 2022/23 and will now kick off 2025/26 in the second tier for the first time since the 80s.
It was an inspired display from Phil Parkinson’s side, with Wrexham beating Charlton Athletic 3-0 at the Racecourse Ground.
Fans swarmed social media to send Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney messages after their historic achievement was confirmed.
And now, the owners have spoken out on Wrexham reaching the Championship for the first time ever.

Wrexham co-owner Ryan Reynolds shouts out Paul Mullin and Ollie Palmer
Reynolds and McElhenney were interviewed live on Sky Sports after celebrating promotion with the players.
During their interview, the former was quick to name-drop both Paul Mullin and Ollie Palmer.
The duo have been at the club since Rob and Ryan’s full first season, and though they haven’t played much this term, were still given a special mention by Reynolds.
On Wrexham’s rise, he told Sky: “You go all the way back to the Gresford disaster, to Mickey Thomas, who is a huge and pivotal point of aspiration for this club and a sort of goal to reach that feeling again, because we think of it as a feeling.
“Paul Mullin, Ollie Palmer, this coaching staff, I think the greatest dressing room in sports, in any category that I think I’ve ever seen before, truly, folks who are all for one and one for all.”

Last time Paul Mullin and Ollie Palmer played for Wrexham
Wrexham clinched promotion with Sam Smith and Jay Rodriguez as their strike force for the final few months of 2024/25.
Their arrivals in January meant Mullin and Palmer were pushed down the pecking order and often left out of matchday squads.
Mullin and Palmer have not played for Wrexham since January 28 in the league, when they lost 3-2 against Stevenage at home.
But with promotion already confirmed, the duo will now surely be recalled to the squad for the Red Dragons’ final-day meeting with Lincoln City on May 3.
