Ryan Reynolds has been poking fun at several of Wrexham’s rivals in a social media message on Tuesday.
The Red Dragons have formed some interesting rivalries over the decades, a couple of which have emerged during the Rob Mac and Ryan Reynolds era.
The North American duo bought the club in February 2021 when they were still in the National League.
During their first few years as owners, Wrexham formed a rivalry with Stockport County.
Stockport won the league title in 2021/22, seeing Phil Parkinson’s side forced to compete in and then lose the National League play-offs.
In 2023/24, meanwhile, the Hatters once again clinched a title ahead of Wrexham, finishing first in League Two ahead of them.
Now, Reynolds has mocked Stockport and two more clubs on social media.

Ryan Reynolds mocks Wrexham rivals
Last season saw Charlton Athletic manager Nathan Jones call Wrexham a circus before their April 26 meeting at the Racecourse Ground.
That fixture ended 3-0 to the home side and saw them secure second place in the third tier.
Chester are another long-time rival of the Dragons, who Reynolds mentioned in the video promoting his gin brand.
He said: “I’m Ryan Reynolds. For those of you who don’t know, I recently worked with my gin brand, Aviation and my beloved football club, Wrexham AFC, to create a new limited-time bottle.
“I know it’s early, but I’m proud to say it’s been a huge hit. Not only in the US and Wrexham, but in places that we never expected.
“I mean, it’s flying off the shelves in Charlton, and they’re a huge rival town. The bars in Stockport, they can’t get enough of it.
“I can’t find a single bottle in Chester, where they’ve despised us for literal centuries.
“I guess it’s just a testament to how smooth and delicious Aviation American Gin really is.”

When do Wrexham play Charlton Athletic next
While Wrexham pipped Charlton to automatic promotion in 2024/25, Jones’ side did end up winning the League One play-offs.
It means the new-found rivalry is going to continue in the current Championship season.
The first meeting between the two sides will take place at 3pm BST on November 8, 2025, at the Racecourse.
The reverse fixture sees Wrexham travel to Charlton in another 3pm clash on February 28 2026.
