Two players who have previously lined out for Wrexham were on the end of a 5-0 hammering this weekend.

Ollie Palmer did not feature for Wrexham as they were beaten 3-2 by West Brom in their league fixture.

It comes after a private meeting was held, in which Palmer was told he can now secure a transfer this summer.

Prior to Phil Parkinson publicly saying the centre-forward can depart, we shared updates on his potential exit.

The Wrexham Insider revealed that his former club, AFC Wimbledon, and League Two outfit MK Dons have looked at Palmer amid the Dragons offering the forward to multiple clubs.

Former Wrexham players lose 5-0 vs MK Dons

MK Dons were in League Two action on August 16, facing off with Cheltenham Town.

It was an excellent afternoon for Paul Warne’s side who, when all was said and done, secured a 5-0 victory.

It was less positive for two former Wrexham men, however, as they lined out for Cheltenham.

Rob Mac called Luke Young his favourite player prior to the midfielder leaving in 2024 to sign for the fourth-tier outfit.

This summer, meanwhile, Wrexham loaned out Jake Bickerstaff to Cheltenham, and both featured in the hammering.

Bickerstaff came off the bench to play for 35 minutes, while Young started and was taken off after 56 minutes.
