Wrexham owner Ryan Reynolds has spoken about the release of the club’s new third kit, where he discussed one ‘special’ part of the announcement.
Wrexham have now announced all three of their kits ahead of the 2025/26 Championship season.
The historically-inspired Wrexham home shirt gained a positive reception from supporters, with it dedicated to the late-and-great Joey Jones.
Since then, the Red Dragons also released their away kit, which is yellow with dark green pinstripes and a green collar and is “inspired by the national flower of Wales, the Daffodil.” This release also attracted huge praise from supporters. The yellow base on their kit was a decision made by Wrexham that had not been replicated in 28 years.
Now, Wrexham have followed up the two previous shirts with a new third kit that has been ‘Inspired by the flag of Y Wladfa, the Welsh settlement in Argentina’, according to the club website.
After the kit’s release, Wrexham owner Ryan Reynolds has spoken about one thing that supporters may not have noticed.

Ryan Reynolds discusses new Wrexham kit release
This summer, it is clear that Wrexham have put extra pride into their shirts, with each one representing an important piece in either the Red Dragons or Welsh history. The third kit is no different from its predecessors.
Ryan Reynolds has reacted to the kit release on X, but has not spoken directly about the shirt, but more about the sponsors, United Airlines.
“Having a shirt sponsor like United, who flew Patagonians over to Wrexham last season, and then inspired this season’s kit design dedicated to them, is very special indeed.”
United Airlines first sponsored Wrexham at the beginning of the 2023/24 season, taking over from TikTok on the front of the Red Dragons’ sponsor, where they have been ever since.

Wrexham owners deserve extra praise for thought into kit releases
During the tenure of Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac, the club has grown exponentially in every aspect.
Particularly in the marketing section, Wrexham have been revolutionised into a worldwide powerhouse, competing alongside Premier League clubs with their recently acquired large support.
Much of this has come down to the work that Reynolds, Mac, and many people at the club have put in behind the scenes. Not only has everything been taken up a step at the club, but it has been done so whilst preserving the history that matters to the original supporters, something that deserves plenty of praise.
