Ollie Palmer only left Wrexham in August, but may already have dreams of putting another promotion on his record.
Wrexham’s summer saw 13 signings arrive as Phil Parkinson completed a full-scale overhaul of his squad.
Parkinson also made difficult decisions in terms of outgoings, with Ollie Palmer among those to leave the club.
Palmer joined Swindon Town on a permanent basis, departing the STōK Cae Ras after three-and-a-half years as a Wrexham hero.

Swindon Town boss on Ollie Palmer’s fame
Paul Mullin grabbed most of the headlines at Wrexham, but Palmer was specifically signed to be the focal point for Mullin to play off.
Palmer played that role brilliantly and the experienced target man is now looking to make an impact at Swindon.
Palmer scored in his first Swindon start, which came in the EFL Trophy against Reading, but he is still waiting for his first league start.
The former Wrexham star came off the bench again on Saturday as Swindon beat Harrogate Town 3-1 to sit joint-top of the League Two table with Gillingham.
Palmer played 35 minutes off the bench and has now been praised by boss Ian Holloway on Swindon’s official YouTube channel.
Holloway admitted that Palmer proves a ‘different target’ in the final third, with his size and aerial ability posing a problem for any defender.
Holloway added that Palmer made an immediate impact off the bench, and loved hearing Swindon fans get behind the ‘quite famous’ striker, having been heavily involved on ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ in recent years.
“Yeah, it’s a it’s a different thing. It’s a different target,” said Holloway, who noted off-camera that Palmer transformed the game in the second.
“You know, Darren’s been brilliant lately, but he’s not a forward. So, we’ve gone and put an extra one on. I like getting goals, but you put subs on sometimes and they don’t make a difference, whereas Ollie’s immediately, absolutely immediately. It was great the fans cheered so much because he is quite famous with the with the TV coverage he’s had, and I’m delighted he’s chose us, I really am,” he added.
Ollie Palmer set to face former Wrexham teammate’s new team
Palmer will hope for a first League Two start very soon, and it could even come against a former Wrexham teammate.
Swindon travel to take on Salford City on Saturday afternoon, with Palmer hoping for a chance to shine from the start.
Palmer’s former teammate Mark Howard joined Salford over the summer, having previously played an important role in the Wrexham squad.
The veteran stopper is currently on the bench, offering veteran cover behind Sunderland loanee Matty Young.
The chances of Howard breaking into the side this weekend are pretty slim, but you just never know – and you can be sure that Palmer and Howard will exchange pleasantries regardless of whether they start or sit on the bench.
