England and Wales meet at Wembley on Thursday night, with two Wrexham players set to feature for Thomas Tuchel’s side.

Wrexham have several players on international duty once again this month, with two players in the Wales national side in Kieffer Moore and Nathan Broadhead.

Last month, it was three with Danny Ward included, but the goalkeeper is now injured for the next few months.

But Moore and Broadhead will wave the Wrexham banner on Thursday night, and they’ll be looking for a historic win over their British rivals with Wales and England having now met on 104 occasions.

Wales though have only ever won 14 of those with their last win over England coming way back in 1984. Meanwhile, their last win on English soil was in 1977 in the British Home Championship.

Thomas Tuchel predicts big atmosphere for England vs Wales

Expect Wembley to be in full voice for Thursday night’s game and expect the Welsh fans to travel in their droves, as they so often do, and expect them to be very vocal too. Speaking to the media ahead of the game, England boss Thomas Tuchel predicted such an atmosphere.

He said: “It will mean it’s a good atmosphere. I think there will be a lot of Welsh fans here. We play football so hopefully it will be emotional and loud and have the character of a derby. I can imagine what Craig Bellamy tells his players, I think they want to make the most out of their role as an underdog. I can assure them that we will not underestimate them.

“We know how well coached they are and know we need to be fully focused to not let them develop their quality. If it gets emotional, loud, the better.”

Craig Bellamy’s verdict on Wrexham signing Broadhead and Moore

Speaking previously, Wales boss Bellamy spoke of his fondness for his two Wrexham representatives, Moore and Broadhead, and he thinks the pair can really prevail with Wrexham.

Bellamy said of Moore and Broadhead at Wrexham earlier in the season: “The way Wrexham play will definitely suit Kieffer. I feel that when I’ve watched him play for Wrexham.

“It will be nice for Broady to get a consistent run of playing week in, week out. With the fee Wrexham paid, it looks like he will get that, and that leaves me really excited because I believe there’s a really good footballer there.”

Moore has four goals in nine Championship games for Phil Parkinson’s side. But the 33-year-old hasn’t scored in any of his last four appearances now.

Broadhead meanwhile has two goals in all competitions this season, with both of those coming in his last four games, including his first league goal for the Dragons in the 1-1 draw away at Leicester City last month.

Tonight’s game kicks off at 7:45pm.
