Wrexham fans have been reacting to one player potentially leaving the club on deadline day.

It has been a busy Monday for the Dragons so far, who are set to complete the signing of Ben Sheaf from Coventry City.

Wrexham are signing Issa Kabore on a season-long loan from Manchester City as well, but their arrivals are adding to an already inflated squad.

In turn, it is not surprising to see that players are being linked with moves away on deadline day.

Tom O’Connor is leaving Wrexham on Monday to sign for Peterborough United.

Elsewhere, George Evans is being linked with a move to Burton Albion ahead of the window shutting at 7pm.

More players could leave as well, with Dan Scarr named as a potential option to depart.

Now, Wrexham fans have been reacting to the news that Evans could be joining Burton.

They have shown their support for the player, who they believe is quality at League One level.

One fan wrote: “Gorgeous George will be great there. He’s a classy player at L1 level.”

A second fan joked: “Burton loves buying players off us,” with another adding: “Aww Gorgeous George.”

“If you get him, he’s top quality. Passes are razor sharp, just lacks pace. Solid,” tweeted a fourth.

While a fifth Wrexham fan responded: “Oh no gorgeous George.”

Another fan stated: “George is a great player and person. Injury hampered his stay, but quality shown.”

George Evans Wrexham stats

Evans joined Wrexham in 2023 from Championship outfit Millwall.

He featured 27 times and provided two assists as the club won promotion from League Two.

Evans’ 2024/25 campaign was hampered by injury issues and competition for places.

The 30-year-old notched just 131 minutes of League One action last season and has not featured in the Championship this term.

Evans’ last appearance was a 60-minute outing against Preston North End in the Carabao Cup.
