Wrexham are set to lose another player who helped them win the National League as Phil Parkinson’s exodus of players continues.
Wrexham’s deadline day is underway, as Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac scavenge to help Phil Parkinson make any last-minute signings before the summer transfer window slams shut.
The Red Dragons look set to sign Issa Kabore from Man City on loan, while a deal for Wrexham to sign Ben Sheaf from Coventry City is also close to completion.
There also looks set to be departures from the Racecourse Ground today, and one man who played an integral part in Wrexham achieving promotion to League Two looks set to leave North Wales, with a League One move lined up.

Wrexham hero Tom O’Connor set to join Peterborough
It has been revealed, via reputable journalist Pete O’Rourke, that Wrexham defender Tom O’Connor is set to join Peterborough before today’s transfer deadline.
O’Connor looked likely to move on from Wrexham after he did not play a part in any of the Red Dragons’ opening three games of the 2025/26 Championship season, which was a sign that Phil Parkinson had made him surplus to requirements.
Since joining the club in the 2021/22 season, Wrexham star Tom O’Connor went on to play 110 games for Parkinson’s side, notably bagging seven goals, including two in the 2022/23 FA Cup run, which saw him score in the 3-4 win against Coventry City, followed by the 3-3 home draw with Sheffield United.

Tom O’Connor will always be remembered fondly at Wrexham
Since he joined the club in the National League days, Tom O’Connor has been a leader and a brilliant player at Wrexham.
Not only did he leave everything out on the pitch, but he massively embraced the increased exposure of the club, particularly in pre-season tours.
For example, when Wrexham played Chelsea in the USA, O’Connor noted the incredible impact that Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac had.
“It was good last year playing Manchester United and Chelsea, it was something different playing the American teams and it will be nice to experience playing Vancouver this year in Canada,” said O’Connor while on tour with Wrexham.
“It was a great experience with the fans we have got in America and we filled out two big stadiums so that was nice playing in front of packed stadiums.
“It was great seeing all the fans coming to see the games and there were probably more Wrexham fans there than the other teams like Chelsea which is mad.”
