Several Wrexham players shone when the Red Dragons travelled to the Netherlands for a meeting with Groningen over the weekend.
Wrexham capped off their 2025 pre-season campaign in Europe with two games against FC Groningen.
Earlier in the day, the Welsh outfit lost a friendly against Groningen with the likes of Conor Coady, Modou Faal and Ollie Palmer getting minutes.
The second fixture of the day played out on Saturday afternoon, with Wrexham fans struggling to watch for free due to a technical error.
It was a lively affair with both sides scoring in the opening 45, and two players have now come in for praise.

Josh Windass and Lewis O’Brien praised during Wrexham vs Groningen
After going 1-0 down, Wrexham were quickly back on level terms when Josh Windass scored a beautiful volley.
George Dobson got the assist, and fans praised Windass, who was playing just behind Ryan Hardie for most of the fixture.
Meanwhile, Saturday also saw Lewis O’Brien, who is the club’s current record signing, make his debut.
O’Brien excelled at the heart of midfield, and both players have now come in for praise from Rich Fay and Nathan Salt on their Rob Ryan Red X/Twitter account.
They wrote: “Windass and O’Brien have stood out. Couple of sloppy mistakes at the back have gifted our hosts their goals.”
Wrexham breaking their transfer record again after Lewis O’Brien
Sam Smith’s £2m deal from Reading in the winter window saw the club smash their transfer record at the beginning of the year.
Smith’s fee was then surpassed earlier in the window when Liberato Cacace arrived from Italy for an initial £2.2m rising to £4m.
O’Brien was signed not long after the wing-back for somewhere in the region of £5m.
But Wrexham will pay £7.5m for Nathan Broadhead of Ipswich Town this month, breaking the record for the third time in potentially the space of 30 days.
