The footballing world has taken notice of Wrexham after their promotion from League One on Saturday.
Love them or hate them, football fans can’t help but appreciate the fine job that Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, and manager Phil Parkinson is doing at Wrexham.
On Saturday, Wrexham secured promotion from League One after beating Charlton Athletic 3-0 with Sam Smith scoring twice, and Ollie Rathbone scoring too.
Wrexham fans hailed Rathbone’s performance after his goal opened the scoring and got the party underway. But it’s the whole club who deserve praise and it’s praise they’re getting.

Wrexham now have a huge following in the USA with estimates that 5,000 US households have a Wrexham subscription, and many of those will have tuned in for the game on Saturday.
Indeed, there’s posts and messages about Wrexham coming from all over the world and from all kinds of different bodies, groups and such, and United Airlines has even gotten involved in the action.
The major US airline company shared a brilliant post on X, saying: “Next stop, the Championship!” showing just how much publicity the club gets across the pond, and how much this promotion and this story really has caught the imagine of fans all over the world.
Wrexham’s US pull is only going to get bigger
As Wrexham’s rise up the Football League continues, their worldwide fandom continues to grow. Specifically, because of the club’s owners, Wrexham have a growing following in the USA.
Now with the club playing in the Championship and being just one promotion away from the Premier League, and with a new season of Welcome to Wrexham coming out soon, their fandom will only continue to grow in vast numbers.
Wrexham finish their season away at Lincoln City next weekend.
