Wrexham are preparing for a season-defining match against Charlton Athletic at the Racecourse Ground.
Phil Parkinson’s side are on the brink of promotion from League One and could seal it with a win over Charlton if Wycombe fail to beat Leyton Orient.
Wrexham were left ‘raging’ in the reverse fixture as a controversial late penalty allowed Matty Godden to equalise for The Addicks in an entertaining 2-2 draw.
Should the Red Dragons achieve Championship football next season, plans will begin to improve the squad once again and Wrexham have been linked with Jamie Vardy. However, the England striker may not be welcome by fans.

Jamie Vardy has history with Wrexham
Vardy is leaving Leicester at the end of the season but it seems that despite recent links, he will not be making his way to the Racecourse Ground in the summer.
He would not be expecting a good reception from Red Dragons following his role back in the 2011-12 season whilst at Fleetwood Town in the National League.
Vardy produced a strong challenge on Wrexham defender Nat Knight-Percival during a 1-1 draw, which saw Fleetwood go on to take the title and Wrexham fall short of promotion in the play offs.
After the game, Wrexham boss Andy Morrell told BBC Sport of his disbelief that Vardy weren’t shown a red card.
Morrell stated: “I’m disappointed with a point really because I thought we could have nicked the three. There should’ve been a sending off and it was horrendous from [Jamie] Vardy. He left the floor with two feet and Nat [Knight-Percival] could’ve got seriously injured.”
Wrexham fans have made their stance on Vardy clear
Wrexham fans have made their Vardy stance clear and it has nothing to do with the incident from their clash back in the National League.
With the likes of Jay Rodriguez and Steven Fletcher already on Wrexham’s books in the front line, supporters want to see younger signings that can add fresh legs in attack.

Sam Smith was bought in by Parkinson in the January window and has excelled in their end of season run in with his tenacity and energy up top and fans now want to see more signings of the same level.
There is no doubt promotion would mean the Wrexham squad would undergo a bit of an overhaul however, there still needs to be a balance from those in charge of recruitment in North Wales.
