Paul Mullin has come in for high praise from Wigan Athletic manager Ryan Lowe this week.
After losing his place at Wrexham, Paul Mullin joined Wigan Athletic on loan for the 2025/26 season.
The 30-year-old is yet to start a League One fixture for the Latics, most recently coming off the bench in a 2-0 defeat to Leyton Orient.
However, with the Carabao Cup kicking off in midweek, Mullin scored his first Wigan goal in a competitive setting when he started against an old Wrexham rival from their National League days, Notts County.
Now, the centre-forward has been praised by his new boss, Ryan Lowe.

Wigan boss praises Wrexham loanee Paul Mullin
Wigan beat Notts County, with Mullin scoring the only goal of the fixture.
His effort came in the 10th minute of the tie from the penalty spot when Maleace Asamoah Jnr was fouled in the box.
Asamoah Jnr wanted to take the spot-kick he had won, but it was the Wrexham man who stepped up to score.
When explaining the mix-up regarding who should be the taker, as per Wigan Today, Lowe praised Mullin’s ‘fantastic’ penalty record.
“Maleace did look over, but Paul’s been a penalty taker all of his career, and Maleace’s time will come.
“Paul has a fantastic penalty ratio and knew straight away he wanted it.
“I know Maleace was champing at the bit to get it, because he’d done all the work!
“But you look at Paul’s record on penalties…and that’s no disrespect to Maleace, who has a fantastic penalty ratio of his own in training, and he’ll get his chance down the line.”
