James McClean enjoyed an excellent game when Wrexham clashed with Birmingham City on January 23rd.
The biggest fixture in League One football played out on Thursday evening at the Racecourse Ground.
While he did not attend the game live, co-owner Rob McElhenney shared his verdict on Wrexham vs Birmingham City after watching from Los Angeles.
The American should largely have been pleased with what he saw from his team, especially in the second 45.
Ollie Rathbone put Wrexham 1-0 up after nine minutes but Birmingham City hit back via Lyndon Dykes in the 18th minute.
The Red Dragons dominated proceedings in the second half and perhaps could have netted a winner had their finishing been better.

James McClean verdict after Wrexham vs Birmingham City
The result leaves Wrexham third in League One but Wycombe Wanderers can now open up a five-pont gap this weekend.
Huddersfield Town can also climb above Phil Parkinson’s side if they win their two games in hand.
Birmingham, meanwhile, remain five points clear at the summit, also with two more games to play this campaign.
Now, following the match, James McClean has taken to Instagram to share his verdict on the night, labelling Birmingham a ‘good side’.
He wrote on his story: “Points against a good side, thought especially second half we deserved to win it though, incredible support.”

What Phil Parkinson said about Wrexham vs Birmingham City
A draw is not an ideal result for Wrexham, though they have managed to keep their unbeaten home streak going for nearly 11 months now.
However, their record on the road this term is what has let them down and it could cost them automatic promotion.
After Thursday’s match, Parkinson sent a message to his Wrexham players, urging them to find a way to improve when not at their ground.
He said: “We go away from home and it’s everyone’s cup final, it’s a full house but we’ve got to deal with that.
“We’ve got to find a way and we’ve got to accept that teams are going to play against us the way we played against Birmingham tonight, put us under pressure and close us down. We have to rise above that.”
