Wrexham and Wycombe Wanderers went head-to-head in a League One meeting on Saturday afternoon and Paul Mullin was absent again.
Both sides will have been desperate to end the day sat inside the automatic promotion places.
Wrexham lost their midweek fixture in harrowing fashion and, as a result, were behind Wycombe Wanderers via goal difference before kick-off on Saturday.
Wycombe also have a game in hand on the Hollywood-owned club, but Phil Parkinson will still have been aware that a win on March 15th would have seen his team climb above The Chairboys for at least a week.
Rob McElhenney made a bold prediction for one Wrexham star after the two sides first faced off this term.
The meeting at the Racecourse Ground, which was the home outfit’s first in League One, ended 3-2 in favour of the Welsh club.
But a lot has changed at Wycombe since then and a much tougher challenge was expected for Wrexham this time around.

Paul Mullin comments on Wrexham rumours
When the team news was released at 2pm on Saturday, there was once again no place in the starting eleven or on the bench for Paul Mullin.
The striker has now missed the last nine League One games for Wrexham, and speculation over his future has begun to mount.
This week, former Wales international Iwan Roberts has been discussing rumours of Mullin and Parkinson falling out, saying: “You get the feeling, and you hear little rumours that there’s been a falling out.”
Now, ahead of the Wycombe tie, one fan tweeted: “You all must have heard the rumors yourselves. Arguments between Mullin and Parky. Mullin calling R&R to complain. Anything to it?”
And taking to X/Twitter himself, Mullin issued a clear response over the rumours, simply writing: “Nonsense.”
What Phil Parkinson has said about Paul Mullin
Fans are growing frustrated at the lack of updates regarding one of their all-time greatest players.
The Wrexham manager is very rarely quizzed on the 30-year-old in his press conferences, and even if he is, not much is said.
Parkinson was asked about Mullin, Ollie Palmer and Modou Faal not featuring in the league last week.
He said: “We’ve got a lot of strikers and it is difficult to keep everybody involved.
“We’ll keep assessing it and looking at training all the time, and pick the team and the bench accordingly.”
