Wrexham goalkeeper Callum Burton has only spent a few months at the club but has certainly been impressed with Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds.
Wrexham became global news almost overnight when Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds bought the club for £2million in 2021.
The rise of ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ has seen Wrexham fans pop up all over the world as people across the globe buy into the McElhenney and Reynolds project.
This hasn’t just been a publicity stunt though as Wrexham have enjoyed excellence on the pitch.
Back-to-back promotions have catapulted Wrexham into League One and fans are hopeful of a third straight promotion.
McElhenney and Reynolds have brought in new investment this season with their Wrexham story far from finished.

Callum Burton praises Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds
Wrexham players appear to love the Hollywood ownership.
Sure, being involved in a major TV show probably helps for many players, but McElhenney and Reynolds have regularly shown a personal touch.
For instance, Reynolds messaged Ollie Palmer after an injury setback with the owners always right behind the Wrexham squad.
Wrexham have enjoyed great financial backing too but money doesn’t always bring success in football; just look at Manchester United.
Goalkeeper Callum Burton has now praised McElhenney and Reynolds for how they have set Wrexham up off the pitch.
Burton told Mark Howard’s ‘Yours Mine Away’ podcast that he thinks McElhenney and Reynolds have ‘brilliantly’ managed to put ‘the right people in the right places’.
Burton highlighted that money is no guarantee of success but McElhenney and Reynolds have paid to get the right people in the right jobs, making ‘good decisions’ again and again.
“The one thing I can say the club has done brilliantly is putting the right people in the right places,” said Burton.
“You can throw money at a football club and you’ve seen it go wrong numerous times, but they’ve thrown their money at the right people in the right positions and that’s why the club has done so well the last two years.
“It’s no miracle, it’s been good decisions over and over again,” he added.
Rob McElhenney celebrates Philadelphia Eagles success
Wrexham didn’t give McElhenney and Reynolds much to shout about on Thursday night.
The 2-1 defeat at Shrewsbury Town was a major blow with Wrexham continuing to struggle on the road.
McElhenney will not have enjoyed watching that derby day defeat but he received a boost from elsewhere on Sunday.
McElhenney’s beloved Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Los Angeles Rams in the NFL playoffs, moving just one game away from the Super Bowl.
The Wrexham co-owner took to social media to celebrate, calling for running back Saquon Barkley to be ‘president of the universe’.
Wrexham will hope to give McElhenney something to celebrate this week though with Birmingham City arriving at the STōK Cae Ras.
