Wrexham announce ‘major’ milestone as club’s community links with fans continues to grow

Wrexham’s progression on and off the pitch has hit another milestone.

The release of the new series of ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ has put the club further into the spotlight with fans glued to the first two episodes released.

Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have continued to develop Wrexham both on and off the pitch since their takeover with Michael Williamson focussed on improving the infrastructure.

The new Kop Stand plans are set to get underway soon and there has been more good news for fans announced as the official club shop is set to be opened in a popular destination.

Wrexham club store to open at Eagles Meadow Shopping Centre

As per the Leader, Wrexham are set to open a new club store at the Eagles Meadow Shopping Centre following the success of a pop-up store back in November.

The store is a further indication of the rise in popularity in the Red Dragons, which will only continue to increase following promotion to the Championship.

Adam Sanderson, a member of the town’s retail team Savills has explained the significance of the opening in the local community.

Sanderson stated: “This deal not only marks a major milestone for Wrexham AFC, which is growing at a phenomenal rate both on and off the pitch, but also for Eagles Meadow Shopping Centre.”

Meanwhile, Kevin Adler, business development and acquisitions at EEH Ventures, added: “Wrexham AFC’s owners are not only investing into the club with this latest move, but also into the local community.”

Wrexham’s commercial income set to increase once again

Shirt sales and season four of the documentary are set to increase Wrexham’s impressive commercial revenue once again.

Stores around the town of Wrexham will only further provide tourists and fans to purchase official club merchandise amid the growing popularity of the club.

Whilst the documentary makes no direct financial return, advertisements and endorsements mean that the club continue to grow financially.

Promotion has of course also strengthened the club’s position, with Wrexham set to receive £40m from their incredible success on the pitch.
