Wrexham are in the mix for a promotion challenge that should excite fans until the very last kick of the ball this season.
Phil Parkinson’s side sit three points off of the automatic promotion places in League One and are embroiled in a four-way battle for the top two spots.

Wrexham expert and former midfielder Waynne Phillips has been sharing his view on the current Wrexham squad and the position they find themselves in – he has some interesting advice for Parkinson.
Waynne Phillips urges Wrexham to be active in the transfer market
Speaking to The Leader, former Red Dragon Waynne Phillips believes that Wrexham cannot stand still in the transfer window amid mounting pressure from their promotion rivals.
Phillips stated: “I am sure there will be a few more faces before the transfer window closes, they have done that well over the last six transfer windows. They have always brought better in than what they’ve got.”
It was also clear that Phillips believes Parkinson has to be ruthless when moulding his squad for a promotion charge.
He stated: “To keep moving forward, you have to do that. You can’t stand still. Football is a ruthless business. Loyalty doesn’t count for much otherwise you will stand still.”
Phillips believes signings need to ‘take off’ straight away
It isn’t just getting bodies through the door that is key for Wrexham, the signings need to improve the quality of the team and be able to hit form straight away.
Phillips has recognised this important factor that Parkinson needs to consider this window, Phillips stated: “You just hope that the signings come in and they take off straight away because it is going to be needed between now and the end of the season.”
Wrexham are on the verge of signing Ryan Longman with the versatile Hull City man set to choose Wrexham over a switch to Oxford United. Longman can play in a variety of roles and has vital Championship experience.
Wrexham are also battling Championship clubs for Jayden Danns as they look to add to their attacking options by loaning the Liverpool youngster until the end of the season.
