Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac have made it clear that they want Wrexham to become a Premier League football club.
Shortly after their takeover in 2021, Wrexham’s momentum became unstoppable under Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac.
They may have lost in the play-offs during their first full season at the Racecourse Ground, but it has been nothing but glory since then.
Wrexham have won three successive promotions and are now playing in the Championship for the first time since the competition was rebranded.
However, while it’s an incredible feat, the plan has always been to reach the top flight.

Can Phil Parkinson take Wrexham to the Premier League
Reynolds was mocked by the media when he said he wanted Wrexham to be in the Premier League when he and Rob first took over.
Four and a half years later, the Dragons are just one promotion away from achieving that goal.
However, this, as we have seen from their opening five games, is by far the toughest test so far.
Reynolds and Mac want Wrexham to reach the Premier League by 2027, but there are doubts over whether Phil Parkinson is the man to achieve that goal.
Parkinson’s future has been a talking point in the last week, and Rich Fay and Nathan Salt have now been discussing whether he is the man to take the Welsh outfit to the top flight.
On the latest episode of Rob Ryan Red, Fay stated: “But from the owner’s perspective, it’s a two-year plan to get to the Premier League. And if it’s a two-year plan to the Premier League, and you’ve spent as much as we have already, you cannot afford to waste any time.
“Like I said, from Rob and Ryan’s point of view, Mike Williamson’s point of view, they aren’t just here to tick off the grounds and to experience the Championship. They want to be in the Premier League.
“And with that attitude and that immediate will to win, you’ve got to ask yourself this. If it’s a two-year project to get to the Premier League, do you feel, can I ask you this as well, Nathan? Do you think Phil Parkinson will take Wrexham to the Premier League?”
Salt responded: “I hope you’re going to answer this as well, otherwise I look like the bad guy. I don’t think so.”
Fay replied: “I’d also say no because I think you have to, you could spend a ridiculous amount of money and maybe by virtue of having much better players, we could do so, but I’m talking hundreds, hundreds of millions. I just don’t think tactically we’re going to be able to outsmart enough teams this season or maybe next season to get promoted to the Premier League.”
Have Wrexham ever played in the Premier League
The English top-flight was rebranded as the Premier League in the early 90s.
Wrexham have never competed in the division, even before the name was changed.
The highest level the Dragons have ever featured at is the second division, which is now the Championship.
Wrexham’s best league finish was 15th, which came during the 1978/79 season.
