Wrexham are preparing to host Charlton Athletic in a monumental clash at the top of League One.
Promotion is in Wrexham’s hands as they sit in second place but have Wycombe and their upcoming opponents at the Racecourse Ground Charlton, both ready to pounce if any slip-ups are made.
Charlton boss Nathan Jones has fired a dig at Wrexham by calling them a ‘circus’ and leads his side into the game having won five out of their last six games.

Jobi McAnuff fires warning to Wrexham over Charlton ‘momentum’
Speaking on 72+: The EFL Podcast, EFL pundit and former player Jobi McAnuff has sent a warning to Wrexham over the excellent current form of promotion rivals Charlton Athletic.
McAnuff stated: “If they can go and win that [Charlton at Wrexham] I mean, there’s going to be some real nerves in there.
“There’ll be a point in it with a game to go and all the momentum and feeling is definitely going to be with Charlton.”
McAnuff goes on to praise the job that Nathan Jones has done at Charlton but Phil Parkinson’s side will know that they are also on a good run of form will be confident of giving anyone a run for their money.
Wrexham have already matched Charlton this season
The Red Dragons will take confidence from the fact that they have already more than matched Jones’s side this season after a 2-2 draw at the Valley.
Andy Cannon’s strike looked to have stolen the three points but a controversial penalty in the 97th minute rescued a point for Charlton.

Wrexham also have a slight advantage with Wycombe playing earlier in the day and therefore will know exactly what result they require in the clash with Charlton to keep promotion in their own hands.
Parkinson’s selection dilemma over who to start in central defence will be one of many things on the manager’s mind heading into the clash but this is where his experience can really drag the club over the line.
