A key announcement made by Wrexham this week has left fans pretty split.
The Red Dragons return to League One action on Saturday afternoon, facing off with Burton Albion.
Wrexham go into their meeting with the Brewers aiming to bounce back after dropping two crucial points in midweek.
Despite the 2-2 draw with Cambridge United, however, they remain second in League One for the time being.
However, with Wycombe Wanderers only behind Wrexham by three points and having a game in hand, every fixture from now until the end of the season is a must-win.
When looking at the club’s upcoming fixtures, the only one that should be hard to pick up a win in is Charlton Athletic.
And the club have now made an announcement this week regarding a change to that clash.
Wrexham fans react to Charlton Athletic kick-off time
Wrexham are set to face off with Charlton on Saturday, April 26, at the Racecourse Ground.
It has now been confirmed that said match has been moved to a 5:30pm kick-off on the day.
The news has divided the Wrexham fanbase, with some of the opinion that it is a ‘disaster’.
One fan wrote: “An absolute disaster for us with no trains home.”
A second supporter added: “That’s me going to have to miss it,” while a third wrote: “Awful. Wish Sky would stop messing with kick-off selection.”
While some were not in favour of the news, however, there were a number of Wrexham fans that were much more positive.
One wrote: “Finally Sky remembered that 5:30pm kick offs exist and thank God they saved it for us.”
“On my birthday, it’s gonna be one —- of day potentially,” another stated.
While another claimed: “Brilliant. Atmosphere should be amazing.”
Wrexham fixtures compared to Wycombe Wanderers
No matter the kick-off time, it’s likely Wrexham will have to win that game to secure automatic promotion.
Wycombe’s fixtures are a lot harder, facing off with a number of play-off chasers.
