Wrexham are already being linked with a number of players and fans have had their say on one potential incoming.

The Red Dragons’ 2024/25 season drew to a close on Saturday with a comfortable win over Lincoln City.

Attention has now turned toward the summer, with Phil Parkinson discussing Wrexham transfers briefly.

A number of players have been tipped to make a move to the Racecourse Ground in the last couple of weeks.

Among those are two players who were thought to be of interest in the 2025 winter window – Patrick Bamford and Ryan Hardie.

Elsewhere, it has been claimed that Wrexham want Callum Robinson of Championship (soon to be League One) outfit, Cardiff City.

Wrexham fans question Callum Robinson transfer

It’s expected to be a busy summer in Wales, with Wrexham told they need six to nine signings in the next window.

The prospect of Robinson being one of those names has caused some debate online, however.

Some Wrexham fans suggested that the club should be aiming higher, with one writing: “Aim… higher.”

Another supporter agreed: “Absolutely, got to be way higher than this.”

A third wrote: “Premiership striker is a must for me,” which Robinson, of course, is not.

But a fourth stated: “Callum Robinson was tied for 7th in the Championship’s top scorers this season, I believe, snuffing your nose at him or Hardie shows a bit of overexpectation, this isn’t the lower leagues where it’s fairly easy to get maybe one or two players above that level.”

And a fifth Wrexham fan simply wrote: “I would welcome it.”

While another fan added: “I wouldn’t bother second-guessing Parky.”

Callum Robinson stats compared to Wrexham strikers

Wrexham’s current strikers did not have the most prolific 2024/25 season.

Elliot Lee was top scorer, ending the campaign with nine goals despite playing half the campaign in midfield and not starting every match.

Robinson, meanwhile, found the net 12 times and provided one assist in 34 Championship appearances.

That’s more than every Wrexham striker (barring Smith when counting his Reading goals) and he did it in a higher division in a team that has been relegated.
