Paul Mullin has endured a mixed spell with Wigan Athletic following his summer transfer from Wrexham.
The centre-forward lost his place under Phil Parkinson during the first month of 2025.
He did not play a league fixture after January 28 and was sent out on loan to Wigan Athletic in the current window.
Paul Mullin scored his first Wigan goal last week, netting from the penalty spot in a 1-0 win over Notts County in the Carabao Cup.
However, the striker started on the bench in Wigan’s 2-0 win over Peterborough United this past weekend and endured a difficult outing against Luton Town on Tuesday.

Wrexham fans react to Paul Mullin display vs Luton Town
The Wrexham loanee was named in the eleven for the defeat to Luton, and Wigan fans were not happy with Mullin, who missed a good chance inside the first half an hour of the game.
Now, Red Dragons fans have taken to social media to share their reaction to the striker’s woes.
The reaction largely saw sympathy expressed for the attacker, who one supporter called a ‘legend’.
One fan wrote: “Looks like Paul Mullin has had a nightmare start at Wigan. He needs games to get his form back, but looks like the fans are getting on his back already. Shame really.”
A second replied: “That’s not good. 2 appearances, 0 goals. But the numbers never tell the full story. I wonder if he has just been looking out of sorts or slow or something.”
“I watched the match and yes, he was poor he’s not a patch on what we saw of him in League 2 and National League,” stated a third.
Another tweeted: “Difficult watch seeing legend Mulls getting mauled on socials by/at Wigan. Took them 19 minutes to get the ball up to him. I still feel like he shortened his career with everything he gave us to propel us up the leagues. Always a LEGEND @PMullin7.”
“He didn’t look like the PM we knew looked well off [the] pace,” wrote another fan.
