Wrexham welcomed a released player back to the club this week for their meeting with Reading.
The summer of 2025 saw a staggering 20 players depart the Racecourse Ground, with Eoghan O’Connell the last exit post-deadline day.
The exodus began in May when Wrexham confirmed eight players were leaving at the end of their contracts on June 30.
Previously key stars like Steven Fletcher and Mark Howard moved on, with the former still without a new team.
Howard confirmed his Wrexham exit in a statement on social media, suggesting he was going in search of more regular first-team football.

Mark Howard covers Wrexham win over Reading
Howard joined Salford City in League Two on a permanent basis over the summer and has acted as their back-up goalkeeper.
However, the former Wrexham hero, who had an important role in their most recent promotions when injuries hit, returned to the Racecourse Ground this week.
The Dragons were in Carabao Cup action, looking to book a place in the fourth round for the first time since the 1970s.
When all was said and done, Wrexham beat Reading 2-0 and now compete in the last-16.
Howard covered the game for the Dragons alongside club icon Andy Morrell.
Morrell has since taken to Instagram to comment on the keeper’s return and express his hope of a big cup tie in the next round.
He wrote: “Loving @Wrexham_AFC Match Day Live and Co-comms at the minute.
“Great to have @Yoursmineaway on as a guest. Like walking the touchline with King Howard!
“A good second half too! Big team at home please.”

How Mark Howard is faring at Salford City
While he’s left Wrexham in search of more regular football, Howard is second-choice for the North West outfit.
The shot-stopper made his debut in the Carabao Cup versus Rotherham United, playing out the full fixture, which ended in a 3-2 loss via penalties.
Howard then started as Salford beat Paul Mullin’s Wigan Athletic 2-0 in the EFL Trophy earlier this month.
The 39-year-old’s only League Two appearance so far this term came in a 3-2 win over Tranmere.
