The full list of every player Wrexham have released has now been confirmed by the club.
With the EFL contract deadline arriving on May 17, an official announcement from the club was expected, and has now been forthcoming.
Fans were already aware of three players departing the Racecourse Ground when their contracts expired on June 30.
Mark Howard is leaving the club as the goalkeeper still wants to keep playing in the latter stages of his career.
Later on Thursday, Steven Fletcher’s Wrexham exit was announced by the player, who said the decision for him to leave was ‘not by choice’.
On Friday afternoon, Jordan Davies sent a message to Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds as he also stated he’d be on his way out this summer.
Now, every player the club will be releasing at the end of their contracts next month has been revealed.

Sam Dalby among released Wrexham players
In an official statement put out on the club’s website, they wrote: “The following players, who are out of contract, will not be offered new deals. They are released with the Club’s sincere thanks for their efforts and contributions during their time at the Football Club.”
- Steven FLETCHER
- Mark HOWARD
- Josh ADAM
- Jordan DAVIES
- Harry DEAN
- Brad FOSTER
- Liam HALL
- Sam DALBY was offered a new contract in January but turned this down, and so will also be leaving the Football Club with our thanks for his efforts during his time here.”
The club also mentioned that Callum Edwards will be offered a new contract and that ‘The Club has exercised the option to extend Aaron JAMES’ contract for another season.’
Dalby scored 14 goals in the 2024/25 season on loan for Dundee United and will now become a free agent in June.
Eoghan O’Connell not mentioned in Wrexham retained list
Fans may be wondering why there was no mention of Eoghan O’Connell on the club’s retained list.
Transfermarkt previously reported that O’Connell’s deal with Wrexham is due to expire on June 30, 2025.
This information could be wrong, and the defender may still have more time left on his contract.
Wrexham could have agreed a new deal with the player already as well and are just yet to announce it.
