Phil Parkinson has now commented on a new EFL rule, but the Wrexham manager is confused by it.
The Red Dragons played out an incredibly feisty encounter with old rivals Stockport County over the weekend.
Wrexham came out on top after Jay Rodriguez missed his penalty before netting the rebound to score the only goal of the fixture.
It was an intense affair, which saw James McClean criticised by Stockport fans throughout the 90 minutes.
With tension rising and a lot of the line for both teams, the Hatters had a man sent off late on.
Meanwhile, Wrexham broke an unwanted club record versus Stockport when they received the most yellow cards in one game ever (7).
The Welsh outfit’s disciplinary record is actually not that bad overall, but one player will have to tighten things up come next term ahead of an EFL rule change.

From the start of the 2025/26 season, goalkeepers will give away a corner if they hold onto the ball for more than eight seconds.
In theory, it should prevent time wasting from teams who are looking to see out games.
Whether it actually works and is even enforced properly remains to be seen because, as Phil Parkinson pointed out when asked about the change, he thought there was already a six-second rule in place for keepers anyway, as quoted by Leader Live.
He said: “I am a bit baffled really because I thought there was a six-second rule in place anyway.
“Everyone is looking to speed the game up but I think referees in general are pretty good at that.”

Wrexham manager makes feelings on referees clear
Wrexham have so far received 75 yellow cards when competing in League One this season.
That is the 18th-lowest total of all 24 teams currently competing in the third tier.
On his side’s improved disciplinary record, Parkinson said: “It is key to restrict the amount of suspensions you get during the season if you can, whilst still being competitive.
“We have tried to restrict those needless bookings and sending offs, and the lads have shown good discipline so far this season.”
The Wrexham boss also praised referees, adding: “I think the refereeing in general has been better this season. The standard has been better.
“A couple of the sending offs we got last season were very harsh but a lot of referees are more experienced the higher you go.”
