Wrexham have shared an update and a new image of the temporary Kop stand ahead of their clash with Colchester United this weekend.
It has been a great season for Wrexham so far which sees them currently occupying second place in League Two.
On the pitch, the Reds have gone from strength to strength under the tutelage of Phil Parkinson. Something which may culminate in back-to-back promotions.
This has all been done alongside a change in ownership which saw Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds take over in 2020.
The results on the pitch have been great and as well as that, there have been some great changes off the pitch to speak of. From Reynolds’ advert to the pair helping Anthony Forde, there has been so much positivity.
One thing that the Hollywood duo have been wanting to do since their takeover is improve The Racecourse. Now it appears that they are on their way to doing just that.

What has been said about The Racecourse?
It was a discussion point in ‘Welcome to Wrexham‘ that the Reds owners wanted to improve and rebuild the Kop Stand. This saw it demolished during last season which left an empty space behind the goal in place of the famous stand.
Now it seems that the owners are fed up of seeing this and have opted to place a temporary stand in its space for the season. This week the club posted an image, to Twitter, of The Racecourse and in particular, the new stand.
Although it isn’t the new Kop Stand that everyone has been waiting for, it is definitely an improvement on the old look.
How have fans reacted?
It is safe to say that fans are pleased with the new look. The Racecourse has been at limited capacity recently. This has been made especially frustrating by the success the Reds have had on the pitch in recent years.
This fan has shared their opinion which is followed by all the other fans on social media. Even if it is temporary, having more fans in the ground will be great to see and great to hear.
Although it may not be exactly what Reynolds and McElhenney want, at the end of the day it is a means to an end. It will add an extra few thousand fans to The Racecourse and add to the atmosphere around the place.
