Wrexham fans can now watch the League One play-offs without any concerns.

Wrexham’s 3-0 win over Charlton Athletic sealed a third straight promotion, securing a place in the Championship for next season.

Ben Foster is predicting Premier League football for Wrexham in the next five years, with anything feeling truly possible at this club.
Wrexham’s 2-0 win at Lincoln City meant the League One campaign ended with a victory, so here are the club’s point tallies since McElhenney and Reynolds rolled into town.

Wrexham 2021-22 – 88 points
Wrexham’s first season of the McElhenney and Reynolds project saw Paul Mullin start his journey to hero status at the STōK Cae Ras.
Phil Parkinson took charge of his first season and Wrexham racked up 88 points, perfectly averaging two points per game over the 44-game National League campaign.
Sadly, that wasn’t enough for promotion as Stockport County took the top spot with 94 points.
Wrexham only lost eight times in that league campaign, but 10 draws ultimately cost Parkinson automatic promotion.
Wrexham went into the play-offs but lost out to Grimsby Town, meaning there was no dream promotion to cap off the first season under Hollywood ownership.
Wrexham 2022-23 – 111 points
Parkinson’s side went one better in the 2022-23 campaign, racking up 111 points – and still only securing top spot by four points.
Wrexham won 34 of 46 games in the National League season, losing just three games and racking up 116 goals.
That would usually be enough to romp home to the title, but that was not the case as Notts County almost matched Wrexham stride-for-stride.
Notts County boasted an almost identical record to Wrexham, but drawing two more games proved to be their downfall.
The 111-point tally was a National League record but the promotion race still went down to the wire as Notts County put up an incredible fight.

Wrexham 2023-24 – 88 points
Wrexham’s return to the EFL brought another promotion, but there were more ups and downs along the way.
88 points was still a superb point tally, but Wrexham drew 10 games and lost 10 games, suffering some stumbles early in the season and around February.
Wrexham were composed towards the end of the season, though, winning seven of the final eight games.
Stockport County again secured first place, this time with a four-point advantage.
Mansfield Town finished two points behind Wrexham but fourth-placed Milton Keynes Dons finished eight points back from the automatic spots.
Wrexham’s promotion was wrapped up with two games to spare, but the margin of victory ended up looking rather comfortable by the end.
Wrexham 2024-25 – 92 points
Wrexham’s win at Lincoln City last weekend meant the 90-point barrier was broken.
Parkinson racked up 92 points in League One, losing just eight games over the course of the League One season.
Birmingham City were simply too far away on 111 points, but Wrexham can take some real delight from finishing five points ahead of Stockport County.
This tally means Wrexham’s average points total across the McElhenney and Reynolds era is just shy of 95 points, which is a hugely impressive tally.
Next season could be Wrexham’s lowest point tally yet, given the enormous jump in competition, but Parkinson will certainly hope to keep that average at such a remarkable high.
