Wrexham will be looking to continue their unbeaten start to the League One season this weekend.
Phil Parkinson has seen his Wrexham side get their 2024/25 League One season off to a superb start.
The Red Dragons welcomed Wycombe Wanderers to the Racecourse Ground for their opening fixture of the campaign.
American owners Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds watched on from the stands as Wrexham picked up a 3-2 win over Matt Bloomfield’s men.
Tougher opposition then awaited the Welsh outfit this past Sunday with an away trip to one of the promotion favourites, Bolton Wanderers, on the cards.
Despite Ian Evatt’s team being one of the better sides in League One though, Wrexham drew 0-0 with Bolton.
They now take on Reading in a 3pm BST kick-off on Saturday, August 24th.

Wrexham team news ahead of Reading
Paul Mullin underwent surgery over the summer and has been sidelined for Wrexham’s meetings with Wycombe, Sheffield United and Bolton.
Speaking ahead of the club’s last match, Parkinson confirmed Mullin is close to a return.
He said: “In terms of his injury, he looks great.
“Fitness-wise, he’s got work to do but he’s been out on the grass for the last week and he’s getting stronger each day.
“It’s a great lift for us to have Paul out there. We’ve got to be patient – we don’t want to re-injure him by exposing him too soon – but equally he’s been a fantastic player for us.”
Other than Mullin, Jacob Mendy is the only player expected to miss out this weekend but he stepped up his return as in a 3-2 win for Wrexham’s reserves.

Wrexham predicted XI vs Reading
With Mullin out, Ollie Palmer and Jack Marriott are expected to lead the line for Wrexham this weekend.
Their midfield will also look largely similar to the one that beat Wycombe on the opening day.
Further back, meanwhile, Parkinson is facing a selection dilemma ahead of Wrexham versus Reading.
Sebastian Revan started the 0-0 draw with Bolton last week after impressing in the League Cup and was one of the club’s best players when they lined out at the Toughsheet Community Stadium.
Parkinson called Revan ‘dangerous’ after the game and now must decide how the wing-back fits into the team on Saturday.
With James McClean the club captain, he will likely start ahead of Revan in his favoured left-wing-back spot.
In turn, Ryan Barnett and Luke Bolton will probably once again miss out on the right of the Reds’ backline.
Here’s how we think Wrexham will line up against Reading on Saturday…
