Wrexham were so close to claiming all three points at Charlton Athletic on Saturday but Andy Cannon’s goal was cancelled out in dramatic fashion.
Wrexham won on the road at Rotherham United before a 0-0 home draw with Huddersfield Town.
Phil Parkinson was seeking another away win as he took his side to face Charlton Athletic, but ended up with another draw.
Wrexham appeared to be closing in on all three points after Andy Cannon fired the ball home in front of the travelling fans.
There was a late twist in the tale though as Charlton were awarded a rather soft penalty for a Max Cleworth handball.
Matt Godden found the net to hand Charlton a 2-2 draw, leaving Wrexham heartbroken on the trip back to North Wales.

Goalscorer Cannon has taken to Instagram to admit that he is ‘gutted’ with the result as he felt that Wrexham ‘deserved all 3’.
Cannon also thanked the travelling Wrexham fans, who backed the team brilliantly in South London.

Wrexham have a very strong squad and there won’t be too many players who start every single game this season.
Parkinson will want to rotate his squad over the course of the campaign and Cannon has competition in midfield.
Summer signing Ollie Rathbone took Cannon’s place at Charlton whilst new signing Matty James was named on the bench.
Cannon is looking to prove that he should be in the starting lineup more often than not and he certainly showed his quality with a fine goal against Charlton.
George Dobson and Elliot Lee seem fairly secure in midfield, so Cannon will hope to fend off the likes of Rathbone and James.
Scoring goals certainly helps and Cannon can be pleased with his impact off the bench at Charlton – even if his goal didn’t prove to be the winner.
