Injuries are not an easy experience for any professional athlete, as they stop them from doing their job, and it can be a tough experience, and this was the same for one Wrexham star.
There is a need to go through a period of rest before starting rehab to ensure that when you return to action, you are not susceptible to another injury.
Upon a player’s return to first-team action, they will then slowly be reintroduced, again so they don’t receive an avoidable injury.
This can make a player want to make up for lost time, and this is the approach and mindset of one Wrexham star who is ready to give back to the fans who have been patient as he recovers from his injury.

George Thomason is ready to feature for Wrexham after his injury
George Thomason made his Wrexham debut in their victory over Norwich City, when they secured their first win over the Canaries in 55 years.
Wrexham signed Thomason from Bolton Wanderers in the summer, with the midfielder being one of their 13 signings during the transfer window.
However, Thomason got injured shortly after joining the club and was unable to feature in the early part of the season, but he is ready now to perform for the Red Dragons, as mentioned to The Leader.
He said: “It’s been a frustrating time after getting injured really quickly after signing, but I’m feeling good, fit and healthy, and I’m really buzzing to be back in amongst the group.
“Thankfully I’ve been a player that’s been robust through my career so far, so to pick up injuries, like innocuous ones, is tough to deal with.
“I really worked hard on my rehab and did everything properly, so I’m looking forward to staying fit and staying in the best shape to try and help the group this year.”
George Thomason appreciative of the Wrexham fans
The former Bolton Wanderers player was loved by the fans of the club due to his commitment to the Trotters, and it appears he may be cultivating the same feeling at Wrexham after his start at the club.
While he had not been able to feature for the club until the Norwich game, he was quick to thank the fans for travelling, acknowledging their importance to the success of Wrexham.
He said: “The fans came to the game in their numbers, and they really supported and cheered the boys on, which was needed.

“It was a tough game to come into, but the boys did really well, and I’m absolutely delighted to not only make my debut but to win the game as well.
“Any opportunity that I get to get on the grass and play in front of the fans in competitive games, I’m itching and ready to go.
“It’s a real opportunity to progress Wrexham into the fourth round of the cup, something that’s not happened in a really long time, so we’ll be going out there with every intention of winning and putting on a good performance.”
